There is no getting away from
the facts - kids are not getting the exercise and fresh air
that they used to. It shows not only in their weight and fitness,
but also directly in the classroom as lethargy and a general
lack of spark and concentration. We can blame the TV, games
consoles and fast food, but you may be surprised to know some
facts that lie a little closer to home. For example, on average,
during a typical physical education class only 27% of the
actual P.E time will be devoted to motor skills and activity.
It is a proven fact that the majority of students who do well
academically also have a keen interest in sports and physical
activities.
You may be surprised to learn that the two biggest motivators
kids have for participating in sport and playground exercise
are fun and socialisation. Not so surprising really is it?
Magical Marking understand this relationship intimately and
we have worked with recognised sports bodies and Hull University
in the pursuit of more effective ways to educate and motivate
kids in relation to exercise. This has helped us to develop
games, programs and routines which work with, and indeed,
beyond the curriculum in order to inspire, educate and re-motivate
kids for the greater good of their health and their studies.
Why not join with us in our crusade
to improve the health and welfare of school children across
the U.K. through the most efficient utilisation of the playground
and facilities you probably already hold.
